Unders Coming Through Big In Early MLB
by Allen Eastman - 04/17/2007
Several trends have emerged over the first two weeks of the baseball season. But the biggest and most profitable trend for me has been playing the UNDER. Sure, part of it is the quality starts that many pitchers are putting up. But a bigger reason for the low scoring games is the terrible weather that has hit the Midwest and the East. I mean, where else would you see the LA Angels facing the Cleveland Indians in Milwaukee? That was one of the scenarios that developed after the Indians were forced out of the "Jake" and played their home opener at Miller field.
The Indians are just one of the teams that have been hit hard by the "inclement weather". This past Sunday, A nor'easter pounded much of the East Coast, wiping out six baseball games and postponing the 60th celebration of the anniversary of Jackie Robinson's major league debut in five cities. But while the weather has been a killer for teams and their schedules, It's been an UNDER players DREAM.
Here are my 10 ten UNDER teams through April 16:
Cincinnati 2-9
LA Angels 3-9
St. Louis 3-8
Minnesota 3-8
Detroit 3-8
Chicago White Sox 3-7
Boston 3-7
Pittsburgh 2-6
San Francisco 3-6
Chicago Cubs 3-6
Blame it on bad weather or bad baseball but take advantage of these profitable UNDER teams while you can.
